NIght One

Well its about 3am and i put in a good 2 1/2 hour session with some good success. I started late tonight as i was on kid duty till just after 11 pm and i had to watch the canucks give the la kings a lesson. the cancucks showed that they can play a good solid playoff game. well the third period at least. as i am sure you can imagine being a good canadian boy hockey is close to the heart. back to the session. i played 14 games 1 6 table session 4 ($5)double or nothings(don's) and 2($4) knock outs. then my second session was 8 games all don's. i went 7 for 12 in the double or nothings and cashed in both knock outs with a few bounties totalling $14.00 in profits. i know a huge night lol but its positive and i played good solid poker. i did however make 3 mistakes on the bubble of 2 don's as i pushed from the sb with just under 10bb's with k-9 off and was called by a-6 suited. the guy who called me had called my raise a few hands ago and was one of the reasons i was below 10 bb's. i pushed and hoped to pick up the blinds as they were at 100-200 with 25 anties =$450 in the pot. he insta called and i was out.

my second situation where i messed up was i had 1700 in chips the blinds were 75-150 15 anties
we were on the bubble and i had 2 guys that had less chips then me $950 and $1400. i pushed from the sb with j-8 into the chip leader somewhere near 4000 chips. my thought was to pick up the blinds but i didnt bother to look before i shoved that i was in a better position then a push or fold equation. i pushed he called with 99 and busted me. i bubbled out and i gave those other 2 guys a free don.

so looking back i made profit but i could have made 24 on the night instead of 14. small leaks in my game like that can make me a losing player and this is what i have been pushing to fix. i look forward to thursday night as i plan on playing 3 hours so 3 --8 table sessions all don's($5). 24 games with the potential to win $240. my goal is to win 18-20 of the tables giving me $180-$200
$130 in buy ins would yield a profit of $50-$70 not bad for 3 hours work.
