Sunday From Hell

Well another sunday past this time with some subpar results. i have to start off by saying i tried my best to be ready for this sunday as it was the start of the scoop and i had some time to play some serious cards. Well the weekend got off to a rough start with some unforceen circumstances with my bank putting alot of pressure on me and removing some concentration from my play. Here i am playing a scoop even with 25000 people and i am only half concentrating. i played a $10 knockout tourney on full tilt as well and i imploded and dumped off all of my chips in a very uncharactaristic fashion. i was second chip leader at my table about half way threw the field so doing fairly well. i was above average stack and overplayed a hand kk into aq after a flopped and got crippled and knocked out shortly after.

my scoop adventure went well for the first 2 levels as i grew my 10k stack into 12.5k then i ran my kk into A8 and he caught a straight to hurt me and i eventually lost out in 17000 place. all in all that hand played it self out and there wasnt much i would change about it. i played a few sng's and made the day ok but shut down the laptop by 7pm as i wasnt feeling it and shouldnt have played to start the day.

i have been working on not playing when i am not 100% commited to playing and have done very well with it but i was so excited to play the scoop that i decided against my judgment to play it anyways. that will learn me

i came back rested on monday night with my attitude of kicking asses by being selective aggresive and playing my a game. i played a short session as i promised the wife we would have a camp out on the couch with the girls and watch a movie and we sure did that as we listened to a gale force wind and rain storm unleash its furry on the city.

i played 6sng's and won 2 and got 2nd in 1. i busted out early in 2 of them as my big hands got sucked out on leaving me in 7 and 8th places. my last one i bubbled on as i pushed my 10bb stack into the chip leader he called me with k6 and caught a king to beat my q-10. so all in al a good day 172% return on investment or (Roi) i know its a small sample but i needed a good session after the terrible weekend i have had. i took the next couple of hours downloading some video's from dueces and reviewing some hand histories.

i decided not to play hooky today and went to work like a good boy and skipped the 11 pl 5 card draw on ps scoop series. its one of my favorite games and i have had very good results but with a noon start time here i would of had to call in sick to work to play and that is something at this point i cant afford to do.

i did follow up on my 2=2 forum post about some general poker terms and concepts that i defined looking for feedback. i have to admit i was skeptical but when gotti urged me to do it i thought there might be some value in it. the response was awesome 22 replies and some good dialoge between 2 people that could of broke out in a fist fight lol. i will be using this tool as something that i can use to get information on anything. the other poker players out there do take the time to give you usefull feed back. i highly recommend it to anyone

so the next event i am looking at is the sunday nlhe but with it being mothers day i dont know if i will be playing. in the mean time i will be playing sng'S nightly with the end goal of increasing my roi and my overall profit.
