August To Remember

Well i know it has been a super long time since i wrote and i really have no excuse.i have changed careers in my day life so that has kept me busy with watching the kids during the day and playing cards at night. i had 3 weeks off between jobs and i really fell in love with the life i would have if i was playing full time. my new day job is working in the food business again as a general manager for an up and coming chain in canada. very exciting opportunity but alot of work and travel on my part. in 3 weeks i have been to medicine hat for 10 days and Washington dc for 5 days. the crappy wi fi reminds me of telus internet but wat can you do but deal with it. at least this Internet here doesn't just drop off and never work again like telus lol.

in my poker update i am running and playing extremely well in my limit sit n go coaching deal with aaron and louis from moshman. the coach me and i pay them a % of the profits so basically they don't get paid unless i win. i have been pushing toward 100 games a week with the goal of 1000 games in the next few months. my goal is to be playing the 100-200 levels before year end. i have also played a few tourneys on stars and have done extremely well and i attribute that to my limit coaching and helping with my focus and knowing how to play post flop. tonight i played a mixed holdem event and won the tourney. played roughly 350 hands and kept my focus and played my a game for most of the tourney. my favorite part of this tourney was when i got heads up against the chip leader he was about 2.5 to 1 chip leader and we talked about a deal. i offered 50 /50 and he laughed at me and offered me 60/40. i countered with 55/45 and he said lets play it out. 11 hands later after i doubled up twice i won the tourney. he lost the first double up to put us about even and pushed all in every hand. i waited for a decent hand and having about 15 bb's left i used nash and called with q-10. he tabled 44 and i hit a queen to win. i laugh because i remember reading a blog from a pro saying that because u are the chip leader doesn't give u the right to ask for 75% of the pool as the blinds are usually so high that the chip lead can change in 1 hand. i offered him 50% he declined so i gave him 35% for second place :)

i fly back to calgary friday morning and will be happy to be back in canada and to see my family. i cant wait to hold my kids and spend the weekend chasing them around. anyways i will update very soon and thanks for reading
